After seeing the shortcomings of the industry and difficulties had by small landowners, he started The Timberland Investor to be a one-stop resource and intellectual nexus for forest landowners across the country and world using his expertise as both a professional forester and landowner himself.

What is a Timberland “Investor?”

To some, the concept of investment and forest management are contradictory or at least at odds. To them, forest management is about long-term care, and investment is about short-term profit. It’s an understandable misconception, considering stereotypes realities of the financial sector.
